On-Call Environmental Support Services

BETA is providing on-call environmental support services to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Highway Division’s District 5 office. Support services provided include review of contractor-prepared MassDOT/Contractor Dual Operator Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) and the contractor’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Notices of Intent (eNOIs) submitted to the MassDOT District 5 office to ensure compliance under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) 2022 Construction General Permit (CGP).

BETA works closely with the District 5 Environmental Engineer to provide comment on SWPPP submittals and subsequent revisions until the SWPPP complies with the current CGP. Upon SWPPP approval, BETA prepares and electronically files the associated MassDOT eNOI using the EPA’s Central Data Exchange (CDX) website to be signed by the District Environmental Engineer.
