Goodale Park Master Plan

Goodale Park is the Town of West Boylston’s most significant park and recreational facility. It provides athletic fields and open space for the adjacent High School and Major Edwards Elementary School, as well as for community leagues and recreation programs. The intensive amount of use and their age has caused the existing fields to decline. BETA was hired to guide the Town through a Master Planning process that started with assessing the site’s limitations and opportunities and included extensive input from user groups. All features and input was evaluated to determine how best to meet the Town’s needs while utilizing the area of the Park efficiently.

BETA prepared over six options for improvements to Goodale Park. Each plan was presented to the Parks Facilities Committee for review and discussion. Based on input from the committee and members of the community BETA prepared a recommended Master Plan for Goodale Park, including a phasing plan and cost estimates..
