Denison Pharmaceutical – Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and Limited Subsurface Investigation
Pawtucket, Rhode Island
BETA prepared a comprehensive American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of the Denison Pharmaceuticals, Inc. property in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The property consisted of two separate lots occupied by three former mill buildings. The Phase I ESA identified past uses of the property that include the use of oil and/or hazardous materials (OHM), the identification of several possible underground storage tanks (USTs), and the presence of dumped 55-gallon drums in an undeveloped portion of the site.
Subsequent to the completion of the Phase I ESA, BETA conducted a Limited Subsurface Investigation at the property that included test pits, soil sampling, and a magnetometer survey. No previously unknown USTs were identified and no OHM were identified that required additional actions at the site.
