Darshan has nearly 30 years of experience leading the design on a variety of projects for many Massachusetts communities, including complete streets design, intersection improvements, traffic signal design, drainage improvements, undergrounding overhead utilities, and right-of-way and layout plans for TIP projects. As a Vice President, Darshan is responsible for client relations, technical support, and oversight of the development of plans, contract bid documents, and construction cost estimates in accordance with MassDOT and AASHTO standards, as well as quality control review of project deliverables. His clients include various municipalities, Department of Conservation & Recreation (DCR), and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).
Project highlights include the design, permitting, and construction services for projects in Dedham Square, Billerica Boston Road (MassWorks), and Downtown Lexington Streetscape Project, which involved decorative pavement surfaces, new sidewalks, ornamental traffic signals, new tree plantings, landscaping, planters, bollards, and a complete period lighting system. He recently completed projects for the Towns of Billerica, Bellingham, Plymouth, Needham, and Easton and Cities of Greenfield, Framingham, and Melrose, which included roundabout design, downtown revitalization, stormwater improvements, and Complete Streets design components.
Darshan holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Drexel University and is a member of Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Darshan enjoys playing golf and following the financial markets.
