GIS and Asset Management Services
Lakeville, Massachusetts
BETA implemented a Pavement Management Program (PMP) for the Town of Lakeville in 2008 and has been providing support services since that time. 75 miles of paved Town roadways were inspected, rated, and compiled in a pavement management database that was provided to the Town, along with technical support to Town personnel for use of the PMP database.
Subsequent to the initial PMP development, the Town retained BETA to implement a MUTCD Sign Inventory and Compliance Plan and Stormwater System Inventory throughout the Town, resulting in a comprehensive Asset Management System. Over 300 signs were inspected, attributed, field located and added to the Town’s MUTCD Sign Inventory and Compliance Plan database. The resulting inventory put the Town in compliance with the meeting the requirements set forth in the 2009 MUTCD, which modified the compliance dates for the minimum maintained sign retroreflectivity standards. Additionally, 1,030 catch basins, 380 manholes, 233 outfalls, and 18 miles of pipe were inspected, field located, and incorporated into BETA’s Stormwater AMS, to be used as a management tool for pending compliance measures.
