Bishop Park

BETA was retained by the City of Warwick to provide playground improvements and site enhancements for Bishop Park, a residential park located in the northeastern portion of Warwick. Improvements include the design of a new playground facility, a new fitness facility for adults, and renovating the park to provide ADA compliance.

Other improvements include new benches, park signage, new playground and fitness surfacing, a new basketball/pickleball court, a new ADA accessible parking space, fences, and landscape plantings. Close detail was paid to the drainage issues on the site and site protection and security. Two public meetings with neighborhood stakeholders included the local city council members and the mayor. The objective of the public meetings was to solicit input on the playground and to best identify the user needs and aesthetic preferences to correctly design the necessary improvements.
