Blue Hill Avenue Streetscape Improvements

This project was identified as a high priority as part of the City of Hartford’s $17 million Citywide streetscape program in 2007. BETA presented various optionsto the State Department of Transportation, City staff, and community groups in developing the appropriate improvements.

Improvements included development of both safety and aesthetic improvements including angle parking with an appropriate maneuver zone, pedestrian improvements, sidewalks, street trees, ornamental lighting, and gateway signage.
