Smithfield Dog Park

BETA was retained by the Town of Smithfield to assist in selecting sites within Smithfield to be developed into a much needed off-leash dog park for local dog owners. After years of considering several sites throughout the Town, it was decided to develop a site located on Farnum Pike that the Town purchased from Bryant University. BETA worked on a site analysis and created a conceptual plan based on the dog park committee’s criteria for presentation to the Town and the committee. The park consists of two separate areas dividing large dogs from small dogs, each with many amenities and activities for the dogs to use. The park has 10 parking spaces, benches, and fresh water and was officially opened in October 2022.
