Minor League AA Baseball Stadium, Downtown North Development Project
Hartford, Connecticut
Dunkin’ Donuts Park is a state-of-the-art Eastern League Class “AA” ballpark and home of the Hartford Yard Goats. BETA provided civil, traffic, and environmental design, serving as an important part of the team on this uniquely extraordinary project, which will help revitalize the area immediately north of downtown Hartford. BETA’s services included:
- Transportation, roadway and utility design services for the relocation of Trumbull Street, the narrowing of Pleasant Street, the conversion of Windsor Street into a promenade referred to as Windsor Walk, and the optimization of traffic flow on Main Street. All were critical steps that were necessary to accommodate the stadium footprint and traffic operations.
- Site civil engineering services for the stadium, including grading, mass earthwork modeling, utility coordination and environmental assessments.
- Traffic analysis, modeling and OSTA permitting services, including traffic signal design.
- Construction administration, inspection testing, and oversight.
BETA worked closely with Pendulum of Kansas City – the Architect of Record – to deliver one of the most stunning minor league ballparks in the country to the City of Hartford.
