Greg Snow
Senior Associate/Director of IT
Greg is the Director of IT Services for BETA, primarily working out of the corporate headquarters but serving all offices throughout New England. He has been on BETA’s team for over 28 years and initially joined the firm as an Engineer, working on significant environmental projects throughout New England.
At that time, BETA was a growing small business and, as such, all employees wore many hats. Greg’s knowledge and interest in technology meant that he quickly became the trusted resource for all IT-related needs. As the company grew, Greg’s responsibilities within IT did as well, and he soon shifted roles from engineering to Information Technology. Today, Greg oversees the firm’s IT staff and network facilities, including the hardware and software needs for all of BETA’s engineers, landscape architects, technicians, and administration.
In early 2020, Greg was given the unprecedented challenge of enabling staff throughout six offices to shift to 160 remote work environments due to COVID-19. Thanks to Greg’s proactivity in setting BETA up with the correct software platforms and his dedication to getting necessary hardware to each individual, the firm was able to seamlessly transition to this entirely new structure without missing a beat. He continues to implement technology updates and monitor for future vulnerabilities to minimize downtime and allow BETA’s staff to focus on their other responsibilities.
When Greg isn’t busy managing the IT needs at BETA, he enjoys traveling with his family. He has been a member of the Boy Scouts of America for 13 years, serving as Scoutmaster of Troop 1-Arctic (W. Warwick, RI).
