Join us at the New England Bike-Walk Summit

September 25, 2013

Kelly Carr, ASLA, Senior Project Manager at BETA Group, Inc. will be leading a Field Session of Waterplace Park and the Providence Riverwalk at the upcoming New England Bike-Walk Summit. A biennial conference, the Summit aims to cover the full range of issues of interest to all bike and walk stakeholders. The event will be held at the historic Biltmore Hotel in Providence on October 4th, 2013.

The event boasts great learning and networking opportunities, including Kelly’s presentation. Kelly, who worked for William D. Warner – designer of Waterplace Park and the Providence Riverwalk – contributed Landscape Architecture capabilities to the design of the Park area. Join Kelly and walk along one of the country’s premier urban river promenades, venue for the internationally-acclaimed public art phenomenon, Waterfire. Continue down river to the future location of new parks, streets and a pedestrian bridge which will complete the Riverwalk. Additionally, learn about the multi-use path that will connect Downtown Providence to the Washington Bridge and East Bay Bike Path. Additional sessions, led by industry professionals from around New England, are related to design, planning, engineering, advocacy, and more.

We hope to see you at the Providence Biltmore on October 4 for a day of learning, sharing, and networking. Registration is now open and costs only $40 for the full day, including lunch and closing reception. Click here to join.
